OBI Launches Chaplain Project
October 2008

On, Monday, October 6, 2008, Richard (Dick) Stiliha, Director of Education Programs for OBI, departed for Kiev, Ukraine where Olive Branch International begins a new Chaplain Project. Dick, recipient of a doctorate of ministry and a retired U.S. Army Chaplain, will teach a course in Chaplain Ministry at the Kiev Theological Seminary. This course will be offered to students particularly interested in ministry to the military, of course, as well as to hospitals or prisons.

Dick, affiliated with OBI since 1995, leads this ambitious project, in which selected student will meet three or four times per year for academic and chaplain-related subjects for the next three to four years.  This is a tremendous door of opportunity for OBI, with its long-standing commitment to helping foreign nations establish chaplaincies to serve their military.
