
Chief Administrator and Financial Officer
Sergeant Major (Retired) Michael J. Weiss was born on 3 May 1958 in Burbank, California. He entered the Army from his childhood home of Van Nuys, California on 23 August 1977. Michael attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey, Chaplain Assistant Advanced Individual Training at Fort Wadsworth, New York and Jump School, Fort Benning, Georgia prior to his first permanent duty assignment at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Michael’s assignments include duty as a Chaplain Assistant NCO in 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), XVIII Airborne Corps and Special Forces Command (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 45th Support Group and 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; 23rd Support Group, Camp Humphrey, Korea; Staff and Faculty, US Army Chaplain Center and School, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey; US Army Field Artillery Center, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. As Chaplain Sergeant Major III Corps and Fort Hood, Fort Hood, Texas; United States Army Europe and 7th Army, Heidelberg, Germany; and completed his 30 year Army career assigned to United States Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Virginia.
He has completed several Army courses to include the United States Army Sergeant Major Academy Non Resident Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, Basic Technical Course, Primary Technical Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Jump School, Chaplain Fund Manager and Chaplain Fund Clerk Course. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education degree from Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, Texas and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Practical Theology at Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
In addition to being a Seminarian, Michael serves as the U.S. States Army Chaplain Corps Regiment Honorary Sergeant Major; Financial Officer and Director of Chaplain and Chaplain Assistant Training for Olive Branch International, as a Life Coach/Mentor and is a Member of the Board for Retreat to His Presence Ministries and the International Association of Evangelical Chaplains.
Michael and his wife Darlene (daughter of Chaplain [Colonel-Retired] Bill and Bettye Lord) were married June 7th, 1980 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Their daughter Susie is an school art teacher in Colorado Springs, Colorado; and their son Michael, a former U.S. Air Force Air Traffic Controller, is a student at the University of Colorado in Denver, and his wife, Elizabeth, attends Regis University.
