OBI Offers Ukraine Marriage Seminar
May 2007

Glen Bloomstrom, Educational Programs; OBI President, Bruce Kittleson and OBI Board Chairman, Gene Fuzy traveled to Ukraine to meet with members of the Military Christian Fellowship in Ukraine and found many local leaders ready to embrace the possibility of establishing a chaplaincy program for their military.

After arriving in Kyiv, a seven-hour train ride brought them to Lviv, where Glen Bloomstrom delivered a marriage seminar to local pastors and other OBI representatives addressed marriage at other locations.

Later, in the town of a town Ternoble, south of Chernobyl, the contingent lodged with a former Soviet Union Lieutenant colonel. In the course of discussions, they met active-duty officers as well: former “Cold War” enemies meeting in a spirit of warmth and embrace.

The Marriage Conference site, the town of Vorzel, where the OBI English Camp is conducted, also proved a location marked by extraordinary bonds of friendship and encouragement, as Glenn Bloomstrom guided the presentation and discussion.
