Ukrainian English Camp Alums Celebrate Friendship
January 2008

For the last seven years OBI has supported the Ukrainian Military Christian Fellowship in conducting English Camp for about 100 military teens and adults. The year 2007 was no different. In January, 2008, six months after the last annual English Camp, nearly 150 campers and volunteers gathered for an emotional and heartfelt reunion in Kyiv. For many, this was the first time they had seen each other since leaving the campground in July 2007. Songs, skits, and personal testimonies held the attention of the attendees for the four-hour long celebration of friendship.

OBI President Bruce Kittleson and Executive Director Vic Salazar both attended the year's reunion. The joy expressed by so many only strengthened OBI's resolve to see that the OBI English Camp program in Ukraine continues to draw the members of Ukrainian military families.
