Victor (Vic) Salazar is the fifth-born of eight children, raised by a single mom in San Francisco, California. By the time Vic finished high school he had lived in ten places throughout the city and had attended ten different schools. Vic enlisted in the U.S. Army as a private and worked to attain the rank of lieutenant colonel, at which he retired after 31 years on active duty, serving as an Air Defense Artillery Officer and Foreign Area Officer.
Service in the US Army provided a rich array of assignments throughout the world and afforded Vic invaluable graduate-level education and training opportunities in National Security Affairs, Asia-Pacific regional security, strategic planning, ethics, and the Korean language. He last served as the Chief, Strategy and Policy, at the U.S. Army Pacific headquarters in Hawaii. In his spare time Vic has been enrolled in graduate-level programs including the Master of Arts in practical theology at Indiana Christian University and Regent University, and PhD in organizational leadership at Regent University.
Vic and Pam began their ministry in 1976 in Karlsruhe, Germany as fellowship leaders of a ministry to the military and have since held responsibilities of increasing influence in several churches and parachurch ministries throughout the United States, Canada and Asia. They are certified trainers of the Married for Life Course of the 2equal1 Ministries, formerly Marriage Ministries International. Vic is the founder and former senior overseer of Victory Christian Fellowship, Seoul, Korea. He was ordained by Vanguard Ministries and is currently endorsed by the Chaplaincy of Full Gospel Churches.
Vic and Pam have one son, Martin, who lives in Hawaii with his wife, Naomi, daughter, Audrey, 7, and son, Victor III, 4 months. Christopher and April, 22 and 19 respectively, joined the Salazar household nine years ago.
